The Museum of Man: Jivaro Indian Shrunken Heads

 

 

Shrunken heads made by the Jivaro Indians of Ecuador are displayed in a small exhibit. Look closely at the front of the picture and you will notice an unusual head: it's not human, it's a sloth, used in initiation ceremonies.
