Ibis Catacomb at the Rijksmuseum, Leiden

 

 

The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden displays an impressive collection related to the ibis. Among the items on exhibit are an ibis mummy, ceramic coffins for ibis mummies, and a reconstructed ibis catacomb (dating from 300 BC to 200 AD) which shows how ibises were buried.
