An Illustrated Guide to Making a Cornish Game Hen Mummy

One day, Mr. Montgomery’s 4^th and 5^th grade class decided to mummify chickens. He wrote: "We found this to be not only easy and entertaining, but educational too. After about 6 weeks, we were done. Now all we have left to do is dig up the chickens in a couple of months to see the effects of time and the elements."

1. Fill your hen with salt	2. Place hen in a salt-filled bag
3. When dried, rub your hen with baby oil	4. Sprinkle on some spice
5. Wrap it well	6. Apply shellac
7. Decorate the hen and its shoebox sarcophagus
8. Place hens in burial case	9. Dig the grave
10. Erect the pyramid	11. The team takes a bow!
