Secrets
of the Ice
Man by Dorothy
Patent (a zoologist) is
published by a company that sells mostly to school and public libraries
and is part of a series about world mummies. Not surprisingly, Patent has done a good job
researching the subject. The
book is organized into short readable sections guaranteed to help readers moving
along (as will the photos and drawings that accompany the text). Finally, the book is the most up-to-date book on the subject and was written just before Ötzi was moved to
the Bolzano museum. This makes it a particularly valuable resource for
students. A glossary, further reading list, bibliography, and index are
included.
