Don
Lessem's The
Iceman
is an impressive book for
children. An author of many
scientific books about dinosaurs, Lessem does a good job of describing and
explaining the importance of Ötzi. Visually, this book is more
impressive than Getz's Frozen Man. It has over 20
full-color photos or drawings; it is especially strong in illustrating the
discovery of Ötzi first by the Simons and then by the government of
Austria. Even though the ending is somewhat out of date, the beginning
is virtually timeless and should be a valuable resource to young
researchers. 32 pages.
