of Juanita and her eventual discovery on top of Mount Ampato. The
story follows Timta, a young girl, who learns that she will be sacrificed
atop Mt. Ampato. According to the publisher, "The fictional
narrative is interspersed with reports of the actual discovery of the
mummy, making for an exceptional and original historical novel."
