The Complete Royal Families of Ancient Egypt
by
Aidan Dodson and Dyan Hilton intends "to fill the gap" in
the presentation of information about the royal families. Dodson,
the author of many excellent books on ancient Egypt, and his wife
have teamed to present as thorough information as you might find on
the subject, including family trees and brief biographical accounts
of each royal. In
all, 27 quite detailed family trees are presented along with short
biographies. The book is divided into five sections. Within each
section, each dynasty or period is treated separately with a
historical overview and a summary of the royal family during the
time period. This is followed by the biographical section. Throughout,
the book is illustrated with 300 photographs and drawings, some 90
in full color. An
attractive reference book, perfect for researchers looking for an
easy reference book about ancient Egyptian royalty.
