The
Complete Valley of the Kings by Nicholas
Reeves and Richard Wilkinson discusses
the tombs and treasures of Egypt's greatest pharaohs. Over 80 tombs
(including the tomb of King Tut) were dug in the Valley of the Kings
over 3000 years ago. The book examines
how preparations were made for the afterlife, how the tombs were
discovered (often multiple times), and how graverobbers took their
toll. I highly recommend this book.
Over
500 illustrations (many archival/historical photos), including 76 in
color. This book brings the Valley of the Kings to life. Ages
11-Adult (though younger children couldn't read it, they would
appreciate the photographs if they are interested in Ancient Egypt).
