covers the basic
territory well in a 74-page chapter book. The book gives a brief history
of mummies, then launches into specific accounts of Aleutian Island mummies,
Blue Babe the prehistoric bison, the
Anasazi mummies, Elmer McCurdy,
and others. The book ends with a chapter on mummy mysteries that the
reader can try to solve (answers are provided upside down at the end of
the chapter). A good introduction with some black-and-white photos and
line drawings throughout.
