Egyptians by Terry Deary is the
perfect reading material for a reluctant reader. It's as if your child's
favorite (and slightly demented) uncle or aunt decided to tell the real
and gross and gory details of ancient Egypt. In other words, historians
(and some parents) may cringe (though the facts are accurate), but kids
will eat this up and may well want to read something more substantial.
